At Emterra Group, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond environmental impact. It extends to building stronger, healthier communities. Through our Community Care™ program, we are proud to support initiatives that address real, everyday barriers faced by people in the communities we serve.
One of those barriers is period poverty, a challenge that affects access to education, confidence, and opportunity.
Through our partnership with Helping Women Period, a Michigan-based organization dedicated to providing menstrual products to those in need, Emterra is helping to ensure that students have access to essential supplies.
Together, we are working to address menstrual equity by funding and supporting the distribution of period products to communities across Michigan, including regions where Emterra operates, such as Lansing, Port Huron, Flint, and Bad Axe.
This partnership is rooted in a shared goal: no student should have to miss school due to a lack of access to basic hygiene products.
For many students, the inability to access menstrual products can lead to missed school days, discomfort, and stigma. Through our Community Care program, Emterra helps remove this barrier by ensuring that essential period products reach students who need them most.
By supporting distribution efforts through Helping Women Period, we are helping to create an environment where students can:
Access to menstrual products is not just about hygiene—it’s about dignity, equity, and opportunity.
Through Emterra’s funding and partnership, thousands of menstrual products have already been distributed across Michigan communities, reaching students and individuals in need.
These efforts are part of a broader commitment to community-first solutions. Programs that are locally driven, intentional, and designed to create measurable impact.
As a female-led organization, Emterra recognizes the importance of supporting women and girls both within our company and in the communities we serve. This initiative reflects our values:
Our Community Care program is designed to empower local teams to support causes that matter most in their regions—and menstrual equity is one we are proud to champion.
Ending period poverty requires ongoing collaboration, awareness, and action. Emterra remains committed to expanding partnerships such as Helping Women Period and to continuing to support students across Michigan.
Because when students have access to the essentials, they have the opportunity to thrive.
