Supporting Students, Ending Stigma: Emterra’s Commitment to Menstrual Equity in Michigan

At Emterra Group, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond environmental impact. It extends to building stronger, healthier communities. Through our Community Care™ program, we are proud to support initiatives that address real, everyday barriers faced by people in the communities we serve.

One of those barriers is period poverty, a challenge that affects access to education, confidence, and opportunity.

Partnering for Impact

Through our partnership with Helping Women Period, a Michigan-based organization dedicated to providing menstrual products to those in need, Emterra is helping to ensure that students have access to essential supplies. 

Together, we are working to address menstrual equity by funding and supporting the distribution of period products to communities across Michigan, including regions where Emterra operates, such as Lansing, Port Huron, Flint, and Bad Axe. 

This partnership is rooted in a shared goal: no student should have to miss school due to a lack of access to basic hygiene products.

Breaking Down Barriers to Education

For many students, the inability to access menstrual products can lead to missed school days, discomfort, and stigma. Through our Community Care program, Emterra helps remove this barrier by ensuring that essential period products reach students who need them most. 

By supporting distribution efforts through Helping Women Period, we are helping to create an environment where students can:
